Yes, you should sign the waiver if you want your child to play and if you believe that the league and the team are run by people who are intelligent, who are taking reasonable precautions. On the other hand, if you feel that the league is not well run, or your child is exposed to unreasonable danger, then no you shouldn’t sign it. Just understand that if you don’t sign the waiver, your child’s not going to be playing that sport so find another sport, but one thing that you should keep in mind is that if, God forbid, there is an injury, even though you have signed the waiver, under certain circumstances those waivers may not apply. Contact an attorney to have it reviewed if there is the unfortunate situation where your child is injured.
